Burn remedies

Skin damage through electricity, fire or heat is referred to as a burn. Based on the intensity and severity, they are categorized as first, second and third degree burns. Redness and accompanying pain is termed as first degree pain. Deeper burns with blisters appearing on the surface are a second degree burn. Inflammation is common. Third degree burns are severe, causing charring of the skin. Skin grafting is essential, as the area is devoid of any sensation. Wash the wound well and apply honey over it. Papaya is consumed, as the enzymes present help in removal of dead cells. Aloe vera gel is an excellent and soothing remedy for hives. Dissolving epsom salts in warm water and dipping the burnt area provides relief. Pouring cold water for about 30 minutes is of great help. Honey has a bacteriostatic action. Willard water available in health stores is helpful. Topical rubbing of mustard is an excellent remedy. Rapid healing is seen by applying a broken vitamin E capsule. Immediate reduction in pain is seen.
