Natural Cure for Peptic Ulcer

Peptic ulcer is a sore on the stomach lining that occurs when the acids and digestive enzymes attack the wall or the protective lining of the stomach. Digestive enzymes are the major cause of peptic ulcer and hence, digestive enzyme supplements or remedies should help in curing peptic ulcer but that's not the case.

Peptic ulcers induced by the autoluytic action of gastric juices are worsened by the action of digestive enzymes such as protease. People suffering from peptic ulcers lack the normal gastric mucosa and so these enzymes should be avoided.

Some of the other home remedies for peptic ulcers are as follows:

Drink banana milk shake as it neutralizes the hyperacidity of gastric juices.
Raw goat's milk and almond milk are best for healing peptic ulcer.
Mix half cabbage and half carrot, blend it together in a juicer and drink it.
You can also eat a mixture of one cup of yogurt with one of drumstick paste.
Drink cold milk as this reduces the gastric juice present in the stomach.
Yoga can also be beneficial in treating ulcers. Practice asanas like pavanamuktasana, vrjrasana, uttanpadasana, bhujangasana and paschimottanasana.
Mix 10 grams of drumstick leaves, ½ cup of yogurt and make a paste of it. Eat one spoon of this paste daily to treat peptic ulcer.
