Flatulence in child natural treatment

what home remedy can I use to get rid of flatulence for my five year onld son
( 8 Jan 2008)

When an excess of gas builds up in the digestive tract, especially in the stomach and intestines, it is known as flatulence. This gas is usually expelled by belching or flatus (passing wind). Flatulence, though completely normal, can cause a great deal of embarrassment.

But if you do not passing gas, it could result in a number of problems since gas trapped inside your body can cause you, or your child, a great deal of pain.
If your child is excessively flatulent, the cause could be the bacteria in his gastric system because different bacteria release different amounts of gas. You should pay careful attention to what he may be eating because this could be a cause for flatulence. However, you can help your child alleviate this problem by using a number of simple home remedies. You can give your child something hot, such as milk or tea to drink. This remedy seems to work by helping the gas expand around the gastrointestinal tract. To soothe an infant suffering from gas, you can apply a hot-water bottle wrapped in a cloth on the child's abdomen for 10 minutes. Ensure that the hot-water bottle is not hot enough to burn your child. Vary your child's diet because some foods, especially high-fibre ones like broccoli and beans, can also cause a gas attack for your child. In addition, get your child to exercise after meals because this will help him expel gas.
