Dry Skin Remedies

Dry skin is a common problem especially for those people that spend a great deal of time in the sun without wearing sunscreen or completely covering themselves with clothing. It is also a sign of chronic dehydration. The best ways to deal with this problem are, to the major time in the sun and when you are in the sun to wear sunscreen the entire time.

To treat the problem you have now, you should start by drinking three to 4qt. of water a day and moisturizing the skin that is dry. The best moisturizers for dry skin to not contain alcohol, which is very drying to the skin.

Cocoa butter and shea butter are the most nourishing moisturizers available on the market. Another benefit of these two moisturizers is that they're all natural. As far as sunscreen goes, you should plan on wearing at least SPF 15 any time you are out in the sun for more than 30 minutes. Sunscreen of the strength will allow you to be out in the sun for up to seven hours, although this is not recommended. If you do happen to get sunburned, the best way to get rid of the sunburn with the least amount of damage to your skin is by taking a room temperature bath with at least three black Tea bags. After you take the bath make sure you apply a thin layer of pure aloe Vera gel to any sunburn area.
