Natural treatment for diaper rash
  • Clean the area with mild antiseptic lotion and change diapers every 2 hours. If your baby is toilet trained then avoid using diapers at all.
  • Let it be aired as much as possible.

A dry bottom is the most natural form of cure for a diaper rash. You can also dry it slowly with a blow dryer.
  • Dust the bottom with powder often and never put a diaper without it.

  • Add cornstarch to some petroleum jelly and apply it to the bottom two times a day.
  • Do not use diapers wipe as they may contain allergic substances.
  • Use mild soaps to wash the area and never rub vigorously while drying or massaging the area. You can apply mustard oil to the rashes and leave it open for sometime. Then wash the area gently with a baby soap and blow dry it.
  • Never use plastic or synthetic pants for your baby. Soft cotton clothes are always recommended.
  • Roast some flour in a pan till it turns brown and then apply it to your baby’s bottoms.
  • After every bowel movement wash your baby’s bottom with regular tap water and wipe it. Leave it open for sometime and then when it dries, dust it with baby powder.
