Natural treatment for knee pain
Apply the lotion called wintergreen which decreases pain by generating heat. You can cover the knee with a cloth to maintain heat.
Try to fold and unfold your leg to relax the cramped muscles and stretch it to increase blood circulation.
Take 1 Bromelain tablet three times a day to reduce pain. It has anti inflammatory properties.
Apply an ice pack to the area and after the initial pain subsides a little, you can start with alternate hot and cold compress 2 to 3 times a day till the pain lasts.
Make turmeric paste and apply it to the knee as a plaster. After it dries off, remove it and massage the area with warm mustard oil in which a few cloves of garlic has been boiled.
Make a paste of turmeric; wheat and castor in clarified butter or goat's milk ad apply it to your knee.
If you are over weight, try and reducing that first as carrying extra weight is harmful for the knee joint. Exercise regularly but do not walk briskly as this might aggravate the pain.
You may start swimming, rowing or cycling to exercise your knee.
