Home treatment for UTI
- Mix ½ tsp of baking soda in 8 ounce of water and have it once a day till the infection gets cured.
- To flush toxins from the system, it is necessary for you to drink lots of water and other fluids which help in the proper flow of urine.
- Cranberry juice prevents bacteria from clinging to the cells of the urinary tract lining.
You can either drink it directly or add some apple juice to it. - Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, tomatoes, aged cheese, citrus fruits, spicy foods and chocolates.
- Aerated drinks and artificial sweeteners might enhance the infection.
- Heat your lower abdomen with a heating pad and avoid feminine hygiene sprays.
- Wear lose and cotton under wears and night wear. Do not wear tight fitting clothes and at night try to sleep without your panties.
- Keep your nails trimmed and never itch your vaginal area. Change your panties as soon as you start feeling itchy and wash the vaginal area with mild antiseptic lotion.
- Have 2 capsules of Ethinacea, Oregon Grape Root or Goldenseal thrice daily.
- Mix equal amounts of Bergamot, Frankincense, Juniper, Tea Tree and Sandalwood oil and massage with this on your bladder area. Do this for at least 3 to 4 days or till the symptoms last.
