How to make a vaginal douche



While vaginal douching is not normally suggested is it destroys the delicate PH balance, there are some natural douches that are wonderful and perfectly safe to use. They are especially good for the treatment of yeast infections and vaginitis.

Some douche recipes for yeast infections and vaginitis are:

Vinegar Douche

Morning: Mix two teaspoons apple cider vinegar with two cups of room temperature water. Fill douche bag and use accordingly.

Evening: Mix one teaspoon live yogurt, unflavored, with one cup of warm water. Fill douche bag and use accordingly.

Tea Tree Oil Douche

  • Two quarts warm water
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 10 drops of Tea Tree Oil
  • Combine ingredients in a two quart douche bag and use accordingly.

General Hygiene Douche

  • Two quarts warm water
  • Two tablespoons peppermint, rosemary, or yarrow.
  • Boil water and herbs for 30 minutes and let soak for two hours. Strain off the herbs and pour mixture into douche bag. Use accordingly. This douche is safe enough for weekly use.

Douches for yeast infections or vaginitis should be used daily for two weeks. If the symptoms continue, then it is important to seek the help of a specialist for further diagnosis and treatment. Do not use hot water for the obvious reason of scalding the delicate tissue on the inside of the vagina.
