how do I get rid of fever and chest pains?
(26 Dec 2007)

Fever Remedies

An elevation in body temperature, accompanied by other symptoms, such as cough, weakness and lack of appetite is referred to as fever. Increase in heart beat and chest pain are seen in case of temperature greater than 104 degrees Fahrenheit. The normal body temperature is between 97 and 99 degree Fahrenheit.

Body temperature varies at different parts of the day. Hydration is vital during fever. Replacement of fluids helps in bringing down the temperature. Sudden change in food or climate also results in fever. Soft and bland foods are preferred. Iron and zinc supplements prove beneficial in eliminating infection. A cool bath is helpful. Chest pain is typical of acidity or angina. The cause has to be identified. Your physician's guidance is recommended. Placing slices of potato on the chest, stomach and forehead helps in reducing fever. Mix 2 tablespoons of olive oil with 2 crushed garlic cloves. Place it on gauze and keep as a poultice, under the feet, overnight. Five caps of white vinegar is mixed in 2 caps of warm water. Rinse a cloth in this solution and tie them on your lower legs.
