For severe diarrhea pulp an overripe banana, combine a teaspoon of tamarind paste and a pinch of salt to it. This preparation must be had twice a day. An easy yet efficient home remedy for diarrhea would be to have a mug of strong coffee or tea.


Also a mash made from a handful of fresh and tender curry leaves compounded with a teaspoon of honey will yield immediate relief. Another pleasant to the palate solution comes from a teaspoon of pulped dates mixed with a teaspoon of honey. This sweet paste must be eaten 5 -6 times a day till relief is sought.

To prevent further recurrences, a glass of fresh pomegranate juice must be consumed 3 – 4 times a day for more than a month to obtain maximum benefits from it. Apart from hydrating the body and replenishing it with the lost minerals and vital nutrients, the juice also aids in soothing the gastric lining and is a rich storehouse of important vitamins. Pomegranate juice eventually helps the digestive system to restore to its normal state.

To relieve relentless diarrhea take a teaspoon of freshly ground pepper powder with a thimbleful of brandy in a glass.  This drink must be had before sleeping and should be the last thing consumed before retiring for the night.
