For your height, 147 cm, you certainly seem to be rather severely underweight. Your weight should be at least 40 kgs, so you seem to be underweight by around 10 kgs. It may be advisable to consult a doctor about this problem, just in case there is some underlying condition that has resulted in you being so severely underweight.
This is especially important if your body weight was previously normal, but has decreased in the recent past. The basic rule to gain weight is to eat more calories than you burn. This means that for you to increase weight in a healthy and systematic manner, you need to calculate the amount of calories you consume in a day.
The normal calorie consumption in a day for a male is 2200 cal and for a female it is 1900 cal. Therefore, you need to have at least a 1000 extra calories per day to put on one pound in a week. The best way to do that would be by having five large but healthy meals in a day. You should have a lot of dairy products, and increase your intake of eggs, fish, and meat. However, remember that this does not mean leaving out vegetables, fruits and whole grain. Muskmelon is supposed to help in gaining weight, and having it three times a day may also help solve your problem. However, with dairy products, always choose the low fat option, at least when it is available. One traditional way of gaining weight would be adding a tablespoon of honey to a glass of hot milk and having it everyday – you can try this too. A simple and fast way to put on weight would be by having a banana milkshake everyday. If not in the milkshake form, you could also have a banana by itself thrice a day, followed by milk or curd. In general, the combination of fruits and milk (or milk products) is a healthy way to gain weight. The fruits would provide you with the required carbohydrates, fiber, minerals, and vitamins, and the milk with the required protein. Protein is essential to build new muscles in your body, and this is an important part of any weight gain program. Another important factor would be your workouts – you need to exercise regularly to help you gain muscle mass. Regular exercise will tone your muscles and will also increase your appetite. The important thing here is to be patient. It might take you a bit longer to gain weight but doing it in a proper and healthy way will give you better results. Set practical goals for yourself, maintain a regular and consistent schedule, and try gaining a pound a week.

Weight gain remedy Sweet melons are believed to be extremely worthy as an underweight therapeutic treatment. The fruit must be consumed twice a day for at least a month or so till you begin to notice the difference. Mangoes and milk are also an effective and tasty solution to being underweight. At least 2 – 3 medium sized sweet mangoes must be eaten and accompanied with a glass of warm milk. If this diet is continued 3 times a day for a month the benefits will be quickly observed.
Figs whether fresh or dried are another rich source of mass buildup. Dry figs must be doused overnight in water and had the next day twice daily. Raisins also act as an excellent method to increase weight. Eating a handful of raisins everyday is useful in gaining weight.
Exercise with the help of weights is probably one of the better ways to build increased muscle content instead of just fat through fatty foods. Resistance training in particular requires the body to consume more food and induces the individual to eat more. A perfect combination of weight ad resistance training and a regular regime of exercise will help in the long term build up muscle instead of unhealthy fats.
