Jaundice is a symptom common to many liver diseases. It results in yellowing of the skin and body tissues because of high level of bile pigment in the blood. It occurs due to obstruction of bile by stones, tumors or swelling of the mucosa of the ducts or due to acute hepatitis or hemolytic anemia.
The symptoms are weakness, weight loss, fatigue, nausea and vomiting and lassitude.
Natural remedies that can be applied for people suffering from jaundice are:-
- The juice of radish leaves can be effective for jaundice. Pound the green leaves and extract the juice, a pound of which can be used as a drink.
- Take a glass of sugarcane juice and half a lemon twice daily.
- Add 1\4 tsp of turmeric powder with a glass of hot water, have this 2-3 times a day.
- Make a paste of papaya leaves. Take 1\2 tsp of this paste with 1 teaspoon of honey.
- Salted tomato juice taken early in the morning is beneficial.
- Have 1\2 tsp of ginger juice with 1 tsp lime and mint juice. This juice is beneficial for jaundice.
