Irregular heart beat, palpitations or skipping of a heartbeat can also occur in healthy hearts. Palpitations are not considered too serious unless you have a history of arrhythmia or other coronary heart diseases (but you have mentioned that your routine tests are normal and you have a healthy balanced diet). Heart palpitations can be caused due to different reasons like exercise, stress, anxiety, fever, fear, anemia, hyperactive thyroid, hyperventilation, smoking, nicotine, caffeine, diet pills, and low levels of oxygen in your blood or certain medications. To reduce the frequency of your heart palpitations try to reduce the amount of stress, anxiety and fear from your life. Also check your exercise pattern and avoid heavy exercises or exercises which cause palpitations. Always start your exercise with a 10 minutes warm up and end it with a 10 minutes cool down. Keep a record for the times when you feel the palpitations and the activity associated with it. This will help to keep a track and rule out the cause.
