Weight loss should always be a gradual process. Never go for fad diets or quick weight loss methods. Always prefer a combination of diet and exercise.
Try the following some natural and home remedies to lose weight –
- Start your day with a glass of warm water with a tsp. lemon juice in it.
- Include whole cereals and grains, sprouts and pulses in liberal amounts.
Have skim milk and skim milk products, lean meat, de-skinned chicken, fish, eggs in moderation and avoid smoked meat, fat cuts, shelled fish and organ meats. - Emphasize eating fresh fruits, vegetables (least 8-9 servings al together) and salads. However don’t load it with heavy dressing like mayonnaise or French dressing, choose healthy options like salt, pepper, black salt, lemon and vinegar.
- Drink a glass of water ½ hour before having your main meals. And always start your meal with a bowl of salad. This will avoid overeating.
- Avoid processed, refined foods, canned foods, carbonated beverages, sweets, chocolates, cakes, pastries, oily and fried food items as far as possible.
- Be physical fit. Exercise regularly to lose weight. A simple brisk walk (continuous) for 35-45 minutes would also make a lot of difference.
