Try the following home remedies to ease your sinus congestion -
- Take a steam bath or warm shower 2-3 times a day to drain the sinuses and to create enough humidity. You can even inhale steam from boiling water to open the sinus blocks and relieve pressure or soak a towel in hot water and place it on the face. Warm breath from the towel will also help to relive the sinus pressure.
- When you are off to work a cup of mild hot coffee, tea or soup would work best to keep you going.
- To prevent drying of your nasal passage use a humidifier in your bedroom before going to bed at night, this will help relieve sinusitis.
- Sip warm water at frequent intervals.
An herbal tea made by using different herbs like fennel, fenugreek, holy basil or saga also works well to loosen sinus congestion. - Remove mucus from your nostrils often to ease the sinus congestion. Little spicy food with garlic will make you fell better.
- To relieve the pain press the sinus cavity near the eyes and nose with the thumb for 15-20 seconds.
