Try the following simple home remedies for an upsets stomach–

  • Mix ½ tsp. baking soda in a cup of water and drink immediately to curb the heart burn or acid indigestion.
  • Go bananas.


    Bananas will have a soothing effect on the stomach and help suppress the acids that can cause a stomach upset.  
  • Drink ginger ale or suck a piece of ginger to aid digestion, relieve nausea and settle an upset stomach.
  • Add lemon juice in a glass of warm water and drink 2-3 times a day to relieve upset stomach.


  • Drink peppermint tea to calm the stomach muscles and relieve your condition.
  • Certain foods and drinks can cause an upset stomach like cauliflower, onions, coffee, milk, bake beans, chocolates and fried foods.
  • Avoid overindulgence in any food even though it is one of your favorite foods.
