Extremely dry eyes could be a sign of a more serious medical condition such as an autoimmune disease. There are many causes for dry eyes, a naturopathic doctor would try to diagnose the root cause of the problem and treat it with natural remedies. I would buy some bulk honeysuckle (ju hua) and make a tea to drink daily, it is available at a good herb store or online through a chinese medicine specialist. Wolfberry (gou qizi) can also be used if your condition warrants, to be sure consult a local naturopathic doctor or acupuncturist to know if it addresses the CAUSE of the dry eyes.
