Halitosis can be due to a variety of reasons like dehydration, excess sugar intake, inadequate oral hygiene or some underlining cause. Try the following home remedies to clear halitosis. Halitosis cure - - Maintain proper oral hygiene, make a habit to flush your mouth after you eat your meals and brush your teeth and clean the tongue at least twice daily.
- Drink lots of water to avoid dehydration and mouth dryness. Other sugar free fluids can also be included. Sugar free gums can promote saliva production and prevent halitosis.
- Make a solution by boiling 2 tsp fenugreek seeds in a liter of water for 15-20 minutes. Strain this water and use it as a mouthwash to prevent halitosis.
- Chew raw guava, as it works well against halitosis. Guava leaves can also be boiled in water and this water can be used as mouth wash.
Any dental or gum problem can also cause bad breath, consult a dentist if you have these problems.
