Ectopic pregnancy means that the embryo is implanted elsewhere rather than the uterus or womb. Most commonly in fallopian tubes, however in some cases the embryo can also get implanted in to the ovary, abdominal organs or the cervix. Common symptoms would include amenorrhea, pain and vaginal bleeding.

70-85% of women have the chances to have the next pregnancy normal that is uterine pregnancy, however 10-15% chances to have ectopic pregnancy again are there. There are no specific ways to prevent an ectopic pregnancy. The key to preserve fertility is an early detection of an ectopic pregnancy.

So as soon as you feel any of the symptoms like sharp abdominal pain or dizziness consult your specialist. This will help you to avoid any serious complications like rupturing of the fallopian tube or hampering your fertility. If you have any pelvic infections that are caused by sexually transmitted diseases treat them first. Avoid smoking completely. Never lose hope, try again and be positive.
