Menstrual home remedy

I have irregular mensural cycle. My hemoglobine count is 11%. And recently my cycle stoped for 3 months and i got it back in the 4th month. May i know what was the reason behind it?

A menstrual cycle can become irregular due to various reasons like mental or physical stress, anxiety, worries and some hormonal changes.

Try these home remedies to regularize your menstrual cycle -

  • Gain weight if you are under your deal body weight.
  • Asafetida facilitates menstruation as it is known to increase the secretion of progesterone, a female hormone.


    Add a tsp of asafetida in hot clarified butter stir and add it to a glass of buttermilk. Have this once in a day. Asafetida can also be liberally used in your daily diet.  
  • For correcting irregular periods take an infusion of ginger which is sweetened with sugar.
  •  Have 1-2 teaspoon of sesame powder twice daily as they also help regularize menstrual cycle. If you don’t like it plain then it can be added in breads, vegetables, pancakes or salads.
  • Fenugreek sprouts have beneficial effects. Include 2 tablespoon daily with your salad or vegetable.
  • Have iron and protein rich foods. Some foods among vegetables that are good for dysmenorrheal include white pumpkin, papaya, drumstick, snake gourd, bitter gourd and cucumber. Other good sources of iron include animal sources like organ meats, lean meats, and poultry.
  • If the delay is still long next time then it would be wise to consult a gynecologist for exact diagnosis and treatment.
