Fever is a symptom and not a disease on its own. So it is important to identify the cause for fever and eradicate it to treat fever. Try the following fever home remedies - - Mix thyme, chamomile flowers and linden flowers in equal proportions with a cup of water.
Boil this mixture and strain it. This tea would help treat mild grade fever. - For high grade fever, that is above 102 or 103 degree census use cold wet compresses on the forehead.
This will help to remove the extra heat from the body. - Feed the body as your energy requirement increases with every degree increase in the temperature. Choose food of your choice and palatability but eating is important to recover from fever fast.
- With fever in the form of sweating there is also loss of water from the body (which is natural and necessary). Compensate this water loss by keeping yourself well hydrated and drinking lots of water. Other fluids like fruit juices (not cold/chilled), coconut water, vegetable soups, broths, beet juice or carrot juice can be ingested to boost the immune system.
If the fever is mild then do not worry it would go without a treatment, however if it is high-grade and stays for more than 2 -3 days then consult a specialist for an appropriate treatment. To read more remedies on fever you can also visit – www.home-remedies-for-you.com/remedy/Fever.html
