Chicken pox health advice Please refrain from smoking, consuming either betel nuts or tobacco of any kind. The herpes simplex virus which is responsible for causing chicken pox gets even more aggravated with these activities as the poisonous chemicals in these products do more harm than good to the condition.
As far as possible the patient suffering from chicken pox must be kept in a well ventilated room and should be free from any kind of pollution. Smoking causes dangerous pollutants to float around and may lead to further complications if the patient either smokes or is a passive smoker. Make a preparation of half a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of warm water. This mixture must be applied on the scabs to prevent itching and provide relief. Consume plenty of raw fruits and vegetables. Also make the patient have lemon juice twice daily.
For baths, only use lukewarm water that is pleasing to the skin. Add margosa leaves to this water, half an hour prior to taking a bath. The presence of margosa in this water is useful in eliminating further infection. Margosa is known to have very strong antibacterial properties although gentle to the skin, and is also very useful in curbing the itch and discomfort related to the sores.
