Tooth pain remedy

Placing a cube of ice on the extracted area is helpful, as it subsides the pain, as well as prevents inflammation. Dabbing some clove oil in cotton balls also proves beneficial. Gargling with a mouthwash comprising of an alcohol base helps in inhibiting infection.

A rinse with hydrogen peroxide helps in fighting infection. Gargling some whiskey or vodka aids in decreasing the pain. Pouring olive oil on the affected area is an age old treatment procedure and this is attributed to the chemical component eugenol. Onion juice in the area of extraction is useful. This is accomplished by placing a slice of onion on the sides of the mouth. Gargling the mouth with warm salt water is effective. Over-the-counter painkillers are also helpful. Prevention is better than cure. Maintenance of clean teeth or oral cavity is necessary. Dental flossing helps in removing the excessive food particles accumulated on the teeth and gums. Allicin is a chemical substance present in garlic. Crush them and place it inside the mouth. Place a moist and warm teabag inside the mouth. The tannic acid in tea is helpful in providing relief from toothache.
