Cold natural cures Virus exposure results in cold. Nasal congestion, sore throat, running nose, itchy throat, sneezing and teary eyes are the common symptoms of cold infection. Severe infection is accompanied by increase in the body temperature.
Cold is transmitted through air. It is infectious and is easily passed on to others by the usage of infected articles, such as handkerchiefs. Research reveals the positive effect of zinc lozenges. It has the ability to curb the proliferation of the cold virus, thereby preventing its spreading. Allicin is a chemical component present in garlic. This possesses anti bacterial and fungistatic properties. Sore throat, a common symptom of cold is relieved by honey, as it soothes the throat. In addition, honey also possesses anti bacterial properties. Ginsenosides in ginseng is an effective treatment against cold and flu. Ginger tea is helpful in treating cold and sore throat. Echinacea is also an effective herb for flu and cold. Steam inhalation is effective, especially with eucalyptus oil. Elderberry is another effective herb for cold treatment. The extract has the capacity to fight off the virus and prevent infection. Elderberry juice also proves beneficial.
