As the name suggests, kidney stones (also known as renal calculi, nephrolithiasis or urolithiasis) are rock-like masses that form in the kidneys or urinary tract because of an imbalance in the salt and minerals in the urine. The crystals present in the urine are usually flushed out of the body during urination; but in some cases, they separate from the urine and amass on the inner surfaces of the kidneys. This causes excruciating pain in the abdominal region and lower back, as well as a painful burning sensation during urination.
There are many reasons for the formation of these stones — these include defective metabolism, inadequate intake of fluids, and a faulty diet. It is difficult to say which of these factors could be at play in your case, but you could deal with the problem if you cut down on the intake of white flour, sugar, meat products, tea, coffee, spices, and calcium and oxalate rich foods. Also make it a point to drink about three liters of water per day to pass the stone in your urine.
You can try to get rid of the stones by using the following remedies. Make a medicine from kidney beans (dried French beans) by separating the beans from the pods, slicing the pods, and boiling about sixty grams of pods in four liters of water for six hours. Strain the liquid through fine muslin and let it cool for about eight hours. Without stirring, pour the liquid through muslin again, and then store it. Take this decoction every two hours throughout the day for one day. You can then reduce the frequency to several times a week. However, the decoction you drink shouldn’t be older than 24 hours because once boiled, the pods lose their therapeutic property after one day. This is of course a long drawn procedure, but very effective at the same time. If you want a simpler remedy, you can make a tonic from two figs boiled in a cup of water. This should be taken for one month on an empty stomach every morning. Similarly, you can drink one glass of fresh tomato juice with a pinch of salt and pepper added to it on an empty stomach in the morning. Besides this, watermelon has a lot of fluid content, and taking it as a fruit or in the form of juice may help flush out the stones. Basil is supposed to have a strengthening effect on the kidneys; you can take a mix of 1 teaspoon each of the juice of basil leaves and honey every morning for 5-6 months.

Kidney stone removal remedy
By a considerable margin the one exclusive and most significant precautionary standard in the annals of kidney stone treatments is the increment in water intake. Water causes the urine to thin out and aids in the prevention of high absorptions of uric acids, salts and minerals that are responsible in clustering together to constitute stones.
Confine the intake of certain kinds of foods that tend to be rich in oxalates and harmful for your kidneys. Foods that include lima or french beans, beetroots, berries either strawberries and blueberries, chocolates, peppers, spinach, all types of caffeine products etc. such foods are harmful to patients suffering from kidney stones. Instead consume foods rich in Vitamin A. Foods that contain high amount of vitamin A protect the inner lining of the urinary tract and helps the tract to be kept in normal shape. Moreover the vitamin is crucial in preventing further buildup of kidney stones.
Keep a tab on the intake of protein rich foods. Studies reveal that there is a direct link between the consumption of proteins and the morbidity of kidney stone disease. Protein is given to step-up the current existence of uric acid, calcium, and phosphorus in the urine. This leads to the colonization of stones.
