Any one who has had an urinary tract infection knows how painful it can be. The discomfort and excruciating pain during urination is enough to drive a person crazy. But it’s really easy to avoid a urinary tract infection.
Here's few remedies for UTI-
- Drink at lest three to five glasses of water a day to flush out your urinary tract.
- Females have much shorter tube carrying urine from the urinary bladder to outside the body compared to men. So it’s common for women to have frequent urinary tract infections as compared to men. Try to use cotton underwear instead of synthetics no matter how beautiful Or at least opt for synthetics with a cotton crotch.
- Drink two to three glasses of unsweetened cranberry or blueberry juice. These contain a large range of bioflavonoid complexes and are sufficiently acidic to kill any lingering bacteria.
- Clean your privates from front to back to prevent bringing any fecal bacteria into your genitals.
- Urinate before and after sex to flush out any bacteria transferred. One common type of UTI seen is called as ’honeymoon cystitis” due to frequent sex without proper infection control.
- Avoid all types of bath oils, bubble baths, soaps, and lotions, use white and non-colored toilet paper and don’t use a vaginal douches very commonly.
