Eye twitches are usually known as Blepharospasm. They are pretty bothersome, but they are usually harmless. Eye twitches can be caused by a wide variety of diverse reasons.


Some of the conditions that cause eye twitches are-
  • Environmental
  • Physiological
  • Psychological
  • Fatigue
  • Lack of sleep
  • Over use of caffeine
  • Physical or emotional stress
  • Anxiety or phobias
  • Neurological disorders
  • Temper tantrums in children
  • Eye stress with viewing of the computer screen
  • Epilepsy

Preventive measures for eye twitches are

  • Keep stress levels down.
  • Get plenty of rest
  • Minimize your caffeine consumption.
  • Annual eye examinations
  • Maintain good overall eye health.
