Itchy foot can be cause of constant irritation and you seek anything and everything to scratch your feet for relief. Itchy foot can be due to various reasons; sometimes the itch can be due to the sweat and moisture in the legs, or due to poor fitted socks, sometimes the skin of the feet may even get raw due to ill fitted shoes. The dirt and the dead skin on the feet can also be a cause for the itch many times. It is very important to rule out the cause to get rid of the itchiness. Keep your feet clean. Wear clean comfortable shoes and soft cotton socks. Remove the dead skin and keep your feet dry as far as possible. You can dust baby powder over your feet (between fingers too) before putting the shoes on if they sweat a lot. Sometimes the feet may itch due to some underlying medical condition like dermatitis or eczema where the skin tends to become too dry. Consult a specialist to have control over these conditions and to avoid itchy feet.
