Flea bites and itching cures

Fleabites often leave you with a rash, redness or severe itching. Try the following home remedies to get rid of them and the itching.

• Keep the area with bites clean.
  
  
  Apply a cold towel around the area of itch. Avoid hot showers as this will increase blood circulation in the itching areas and cause more trouble, instead go for cold baths.
  
• Apply calamine lotion on the skin which itches.
  
  
  This will help you to relax to a greater extent.
  
• Avoid scratching as this can lead to open wounds and can even spread an infection.
  
• Use a flea control product for your carpets and furniture. Vacuum the carpets and upholstery on regular basis to keep the fleas away. Wash all the beddings (even your pets bedding in that case) in hot water.
  
• Shower your pet with an anti-flea shampoo to get the fleas away from your house.
  

It would take few days to heal the bites after using these home remedies, however if the condition worsens with swelling or any kind of discharge then consult a specialist to control the inflammation.
