Plantar fascistic home remedy

The first and foremost point to be noted during the treatment of plantar fascia is to avoid wearing high heeled shoes at all times. These shoes are more of a contraption to the heels and can cause advanced damage if used even after being diagnosed with the disorder. There is a lengthy and wide band of tissue which is fibrous in nature that extends from the forefoot to the heel bone.

When this fibrous tissue gets inflamed or worn out especially among those who are pregnant, obese or diabetic, it leads to severe shooting kind of pain.

Use an ice pack to slowly massage the heel or the end of the foot. This will relieve the pain and the discomfort.

The pain sometimes gets unbearable upon waking up, try stretching your calf muscle to obtain relief before getting out of bed. Most importantly do not attempt to stress your foot further or strain it if you are in pain. Rest awhile and make sure you stay put till the pain eases off. An over the counter arch support can bring comfort to the pain and help in walking. Before you retire for the night try fitting a splint from your calf to the heel. The splint will help to hold the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon in an elongated place and an overnight stay will help to stretch the two more and cause much relief the next day.
