Try these natural remedies for planter fasciitis –
- Take adequate rest. Keep the weight of your body off the foot for few days until the inflammation reduces.
- Put some ice in a plastic bag and apply it on the region that is paining. Repeat this activity 3-4 times daily for around 15-20 minutes.
- Stretching exercises which involves your Achilles tendon and your plantar fasciitis would help. Lose weight if you are above your ideal body weight.
- Wear appropriate shock absorbent shoes and never start any sport activity vigorously (always start with a warm up).
- Add fresh ginger, garlic, turmeric and cloves in your daily diet, as these foods (especially ginger) have anti-inflammatory properties and would help to decrease inflammation over a period of time.
- You can get other problems like back, foot, hip or knee problems as the posture in which you walk often changes when you have planter fasciitis. So please do not ignore the pain and consult a specialist if there are any other complications.
