Gastritis remedies
get rid of gas

Gastritis is a condition where the stomach lining is inflamed. It is important to take appropriate care, because if this condition is neglected it can even lead to ulcers. Try the following remedies to heal gastritis and get rid of gas-
- Have small frequent meals at regular intervals instead of three major meals.
Drink a small glass of coconut water daily, it is very good for gastritis. - Don’t sleep immediately after a meal; at least relax for 2 hours before going to bed.
- Chew a small piece of ginger with a pinch of salt for 5 minutes before meals. This will help improve digestion and also deal with gas.
- Drink at least 10-12 glasses of water daily. Increase your fluid consumption.
- You can add a pinch of Asafoetida or cumin seeds in a glass of butter milk, drink this daily. This will also aid digestion and deal with gas problem.
- Avoid fried/oily foods, tea, coffee, cocoa, colas, and chocolates, spicy foods which contain black pepper, chilies, chilly powder, hot pepper or extra garlic. You can avoid certain foods for some time if it bothers you or aggravates your condition.
- Avoid stress, smoking, chewing tobacco and drinking alcohol completely.
- Be physically active, a simple brisk walk for 30 minutes will also help to freshen your mind and ease your problem.
- Gas forming foods can be taken in moderation; these include potatoes, beans, milk, onions, cabbage, carrots, prune juice, wheat products, fatty foods, carbonated beverages and Brussels sprouts. However do not eliminate them from the diet completely, but can be reduced to certain extent.
