Weight loss is simple provided you follow the rules properly. A combination of diet and exercise should be chosen for losing weight. Listed below are some natural and simple home remedies to lose weight –
  • As soon as you wake up, start your day with a glass of warm water with a tsp lemon juice.


  • Emphasize more on fresh fruits, vegetables and salads. But remember it won’t help you to lose weight if you load it with heavy dressing like mayonnaise, thousand islands, or French dressing. Eat at least 8-9 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables out of which 1 serving should be of dark green leafy vegetable.
  • Emphasize on whole cereals and grains, pulses, sprouts, skim milk and skim milk products. Have lean meat, fish, de skinned chicken, eggs in moderation and completely avoid organ meats.
  • Avoid processed, canned, refined foods, carbonated beverages, sweets, chocolates, cakes, pastries, oily and fried food items as far as possible.
  • Drink a glass of water 30 minutes before a meal and avoid drinking water for 30 minutes after a meal.
  • Exercise. Physical activity is very important along with a balanced meal to lose weight. For this you don’t need to join the gym compulsorily, a simple brisk walk for 35-45 minutes would also help a lot.
