Natural cures for corns and calluses
  • Soak your feet in warm water in which Epsom salt has been dissolved. Do this for 15 minutes once in the morning and at night everyday.
  • Do not wear tight or uncomfortable shoes as this is likely to give corns on the smallest toe.

Wear open toed shoe or sandals if you often get corns.
  • Apply moisturizers or lotions to the corns to soften them.
  • Wash the corns with mild soap lukewarm water.

Gently exfoliate with a pumice stone to remove the dead skin and apply some antiseptic cream to it.
  • Go for a walk on the beach barefoot as the sand acts as a natural pumice stone and removes the dead cells.
  • Do not stand for too long in one position.
  • Wear cotton socks and change them daily.
  • Alternate between two pairs of shoes and avoid high heeled ones.
  • Crush 5 aspirin tablets and mix with ½ teaspoon of water and ½ teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply this to the corns and cover with a warm cloth. Remove the cloth after 15 minutes, exfoliate the skin gently with a pumice stone and then wash it off. Do not apply this method if you are allergic to aspirin.
  • To help prevent calluses from developing in the sole of the foot, wear an insole for more padding.
