Advice for earache
Pour a few drops of garlic juice in your ear at least two times a day. You can also put drops of hydrogen peroxide or juice of the leaves of holy basil in your ears.
If you have to go in the water for swimming, then put some mineral water in both the ears. Wear ear plugs to prevent water from getting inside.
With the help of a heating pad or a warm cotton cloth, heat your ear for 10-15 minutes twice a day.
Clean your ear regularly with the help of cotton buds.
Zinc cures ear infection and vitamin C boosts the immune system. Vitamin C reduces fever and inflammation due to ear infection. Include these in your diet and avoid dairy products like milk, butter or cheese till your earache subsides.
Wear a scarf when going out in the wind or put cotton balls in it.
If you have earache due to pressure changes, especially while landing or take off, then try chewing a gum. This will aid the ear muscles in sending air to the inner ear. You can also try blowing gently while holding your nose.
If the pain is due to head congestion, then it will be advisable to visit your physician.
