There are many effective home remedies for knee pain. Here are some of the most useful remedies:
- First you need to shed down that extra weight. Overweight or obesity is a major factor contributing to knee pain. Your legs hold the complete body weight and more pressure is exerted on your knees and knee cap. So, shedding down weight will help you alleviate pain. Involve yourself in physical activities such as jogging, biking, rowing, walking, running and swimming. You can even join a gym for cardio vascular exercises.
- Winter green lotion topically applied on the affected knee also works wonder in alleviating knee pain. Don't forget to wrap your knee after applying this lotion so as to increase temperature.
- Avoid contact with any allergic substances.
- Exercise more using your joints to strengthen the muscles that support your joints. This will help in alleviating pain and will also reduce inflammation.
