Home Remedies for Weight Gain

Some people are underweight but healthy in all ways. So, that is not a concern for ill health. But, if you feel weak, constipated and fatigue now and often, you need to monitor yourself for various health defects and take necessary steps for gaining weight and becoming healthy.

Don’t think gaining weight is gaining health.

Following are some of the most popular home remedies for weight gain:
  • Herbs like alfalfa, caraway, cayenne, fennel, dill, hyssop, lady’s mantle and celery are all beneficial in improving the appetite.
  • Astragalus is a natural herb that supports the immune system, promotes improved digestion and fights fatigue.

  • Natural herbs such as fenugreek and ginseng can be used for improving digestion and stimulating appetite. Avoid ginseng is you are suffering from high blood pressure.
  • Eat plenty of carbohydrates, proteins and fatty foods.
  • Consume more of nondairy soy based cream soups because these have high protein content and calories.
  • Drink more of herbal teas and vegetable soups.
  • Eat small meals at frequent intervals.
  • Don’t indulge into unhealthy eating such as fried foods, junk foods, tea, coffee and alcohol. Gain weight in a healthy manner by incorporating healthy dietary habits.
