Sweating treatment

what to do about sweating
(28 Jan 2008)

Natural treatment for sweating
  • Take bath at least 2 times a day. Use antibacterial soap or a deodorant soap for this. Dust your armpits and upper part of the body with a talcum powder, baby powder or a prickly heat powder.

You can add 1 tsp of baking soda to 1 bucket of water or 2 to 3 tbsp of it to 1 tub filled with water. You can also substitute this with 1 or 2 cups of tomato juice of apple cider vinegar. Application of apple cider vinegar on your sweat producing areas will also be helpful.
  • Dip a cloth in alcohol or white vinegar and wipe your armpits and other sweat generating areas with it.  Use alum rather than antiperspirants as they block the sweat glands.
  • You can also apply some baking soda on your armpits and other areas to soak excess sweat and kill bacteria.
  • Avoid wearing synthetic clothes, especially in the summer season as they promote sweating and may cause allergic reaction due to this. Wear comfortable cotton clothes.
  • Do not cut down on your intake of water or other fluids because you sweat a lot. In fact, you need to replenish the lost fluids and keep yourself hydrated.
  • Avoid garlic, hot spices, junk foods, oily and fried foods, alcohol, coffee and refined food products. Have yoghurt, coconut water, buttermilk, sprouts, raw vegetable salads and fresh fruits.
