Hi there, It is important to get your dietary recall i.e your current eating plan from morning to night with exact quantities to understand your current caloric intake. Weight is determined by total calories consumed throughout the day, your activity pattern, whether you have any illnesses or are on any medications for any health problem.
It is important to know WHAT you eat, HOW MUCH you eat, your meal timings, your activity pattern. Do you exercise regularly? If yes, the duration and type of exercise you are involved in. Are you mentally at peace?
Mental disturbances, stress, hormonal imbalances are some factors which could be responsible for weight imbalances. Food intake could be influenced by these factors. Weight gain remedies or a weight gain diet plan charted out for you without understanding your current diet and lifestyle pattern will not be successful in the long run. Rosy Smith's answer does give you a guideline about specific calorie-dense foods like milkshakes, bananas which will be beneficial to you for weight gain. But please remember that just eating one type of food or simply eating calorie dense foods is not the solution to your weight problems. Successful weight gain or weight loss is possible when you consult a dietitian or nutrition consultant who will take your diet recall to understand your current food intake, note down your medical history, current height and weight and accordingly chart out a suitable diet plan for you. Meanwhile, please read this section on Remedy for Underweight which gives you an overview about causes and some home remedies for weight gain which you can benefit from All the best! Start eating for 4-5 times a day. though you are eating a lot see what you eat. It will help you to increase your weight. While increasing meals increase your appetite. But be sure that your digestive system does not suffer. Add extra calories in your diet. For that include milk, milkshake and fruit juice. Starchy grains like rice, potato, oats and pumpkin are beneficial. Cheese, yoghurt, peanut butter, avocado are to be added in your diet. Pulses, seeds, nuts are also essential. Fruit like banana is very helpful in increasing weight. Eating banana daily helps a lot. Use of oil in your preparation is also helpful. Include dried nuts in your servings. You may follow the diet plan -
- Have a cup of milk first in the morning.
- For breakfast you can have wheat bread sandwich including potato or wheat tortilla with any vegetable. Add one banana in breakfast.
- Between lunch and breakfast you can have any fruit or dry fruits or a single bread-butter or bread with yoghurt or peanut butter.
- In lunch have bread, wheat tortilla, rice with pulses, seeds curry, vegetable, salad. Means full five course meals.
- At tea time you can have small breakfast as per your wish. But do not include too spicy, out side, junk food. It will affect your intestine. You can add fried food in evening breakfast.
- For dinner you can repeat the lunch items.
- Have a cup of milk at bedtime.
do exercise for burning fats from your body.
