UTI natural remedies

Urinary tract infections can usually be traced to bacteria. These bacteria, present in the vagina or the rectum, sometimes enter the urethra and cause an infection. Some women hold their urine too long, thus weakening the bladder.

As a result the bladder does not empty completely and the urine that remains often results in a bladder or urinary tract infection.

If you have been suffering from this infection then you probably experience an overwhelming urge to pass urine and a burning sensation when you actually urinate. You may also experience, in serious cases, fever and chills. However, it is advisable that you consult a doctor regarding your symptoms since these signs are also indicative of other infections.

One of the easiest and most effective ways of curing an infection of the urinary tract is by drinking plenty of fluids. Drink water or juices through the day. This will help you flush the bacteria out of your system and give you relief. Cranberry juice is another effective way to get rid of a urinary tract infection. Drink lots of cranberry juice when you suffer from the infection, avoid drinking carbonated drinks, and stay away from coffee or tea. Oily and fried food should not be included in the diet. Food items like cheese and other dairy products should also be avoided.
