Backache natural remedies

I have a backache in the lower spine which is extending to the legs for last nine months. Physiotherapy and pain killers have not helped. What shall I do?

Backache natural remedies

Back pain is sometimes an indicator of some serious problem, and can even be seriously debilitating in itself. If you have been suffering from severe back pain for nine months, you should certainly visit a doctor to find out what the exact cause is. When you say you have tried physiotherapy and painkillers, it seems that you have tried them without consulting a medical professional, since you haven't mentioned any underlying cause for the pain.

Even if you have already visited a doctor, you should visit a new one, preferably an orthopaedic specialist.

Meanwhile, you can try some standard remedies for back pain. If you tend to have sudden attacks, you should certainly rest your back at the time.

However, staying in bed for too long only worsens the condition of your back, so when you feel the pain has sufficiently lessened you should start to move around again. In addition, light, simple, regular exercise will help strengthen your back. A lot of back problems are fundamentally due to weak muscles.

In addition, you can try applying a cold or hot compress to your back. Try using an ice pack as well as a hot water bottle, and then regularly use whichever one yields better results.
