Natural Treatment for Hemorrhoid

Hemorrhoids are health condition characterized by swollen veins in the anal canal or around the lower rectum. The most common symptoms associated with hemorrhoids are release of bright blood with the stool, pain in the anus, swelling of the veins and irritation.

The most important factors causing this health condition are excessive straining during stool passage, aging, chronic diarrhea, chronic constipation, anal intercourse and pregnancy.

You can easily treat your hemorrhoids at home by the following methods:

  • Cleaning the bowel can also help cure hemorrhoids. You can take cayenne or garlic enemas for cleaning your bowel.
  • Take a tub of warm water and sit in the tub for almost half an hour.

Heat will help in reducing swelling and pain.
  • Bayberry, myrrh, goldenseal root and white oak are natural herbs that are beneficial in treating hemorrhoids.
  • You can even apply Aloe Vera gel on the anus to alleviate pain and sooth the burning sensation.
  • Prepare a strong tea using Lady's mantle or yarrow. Soak a cotton ball in the tea and apply on the anus or to the hemorrhoid.
  • Witch hazel is another useful herb for shrinking swollen veins around the lower rectum and anus.
  • You can also try capsules or tea of red grape vine leaves, buck thorn bark, parsley, collinsonia root or stone root. These play a vital role in reducing swelling, alleviating pain and eventually treating hemorrhoids.
