Seborrheic dermatitis, better known as dandruff, affects people of all ages. Both adults and children fall prey to this condition that affects the scalp. You notice that your skin begins flaking and dots your clothes in ugly drifts.

Although  Seborrheic dermatitis generally affects the scalp, it has also been known to affect the face,   arms, legs and even the groin.

The primary symptom of Seborrheic dermatitis is that your scalp feels oily and itches badly. And when you scratch your scalp, you find that little drifts of flaky skin cascade on you.

The exact reason for the development of this scalp condition is not known. Some people believe that it is caused by some kind of fungus while others believe it is linked to hormones.

The best way to cure Seborrheic dermatitis is by massaging your scalp. You can use warm oil to do this. A mixture of one tablespoon of yogurt, a few drops of lemon juice and a few drops of honey can be applied to the scalp. You should leave this on for a little while and then wash it off. Another easy home remedy is applying lemon juice on your scalp. You should ensure that the juice is rubbed into the scalp and leave it on for an hour before you wash your hair. You will need to do this a few times for it to effectively get rid of Seborrheic dermatitis.
