Shaving bumps natural remedies

Shaving bumps, also known as razor burn, is a problem that occurs very often with both men and women. This is usually an irritation of the skin that is caused by using dirty, dull blades to shave with and ingrown hair. Other causes include using too little lubrication, shaving in the direction opposite to the hair growth.

Also, you could get razor burn due to friction if you apply too much pressure while shaving. These burns can include cuts and burns and sometimes might develop into pimples, pustules, and cysts.

The easiest and the first way to deal with razor burns is stop shaving.

This will allow the burns to settle and heal and also allow all the ingrown hair to grow out. Before you shave, you should always use warm water to soften your skin or you could shave right after you shower or bathe. Remember not to stretch your skin very taut when you are shaving and always apply a moisturizer or a gentle after shave once you are done. You should preferably use an electric razor but if you are not comfortable with one, ensure that you change your razor blades often and keep them clean. To soothe the burning sensation, you should dissolve two aspirins in water and apply this mixture on the burns. You can also use aloe vera to soothe discomfort. Mix the essential oils of lavender, chamomile, and tea tree and apply it on all the burns.
