An E. coli bacterium which is found in all the women is the main cause for bladder infections. This bacterium finds its way from the vagina to the urinary bladder passing through urethra.


This bacterium tends to irritate the walls of the bladder and causes a burning sensation while passing urine. Try the following home remedies to flush this bacterium and thereby ease a bladder infection.

  • Drink lots of fluids.


    It is important to flush this bacteria as if it lingers in your bladder then they tend to multiply (double) every 20 minutes. It’s simple more bacteria’s more pain.
  • Include fluids in different forms like water, barley water, coconut water, fruit juices, and vegetable juices. More fluid intake, less pain.
  • A hot soothing bath would help to relieve pain and inflammation.
  • Increase the intake of vitamin C by including oranges, lemons, and guava in your diet. Vitamin C supplements can also be started after a physician’s consultation.
  • Go to bathroom before and after a sexual intercourse. It is very important to maintain personal hygiene.
  • Prefer sanitary napkins instead of tampons during menstruation if you are susceptible to bladder infections.
  • Wear clean, washed and comfortable cotton panties. Avoid wearing tight clothes and tight pants.
