For most people it doesn’t take much to gain wait but can be a very painful process losing the extra pounds once gained. Being overweight is perhaps the biggest health concern since it can lead to a lot of health problems. Heart trouble, blood pressure, constipation, backaches, arthritis, gout, kidney, liver and gall bladder disorders are just a few of them.
Keep three things in mind when you think about losing weight – correct lifestyle, exercise and a balanced diet. If you have this on track, you wouldn’t have to go after expensive weight loss programs. Eat on time, sleep on time, don’t drink too much and cut out fried and sweet food. Drink 8-10 glasses of water every day to improve metabolism, and go swimming, rowing, bicycling, jogging or brisk walking for 20 minutes at least five days a week. Don’t eat too much at a time and don’t sleep for at least two hours after dinner.
You can substitute fatty foods with a daily intake of ample amount of fruits and green vegetables. These are low on calories, improve metabolism and keep toxins out of your system. Just as big a no-no as sweets is too much salt in your food as it increases the body weight too. Also avoid cheese and butter, meat and other non-vegetarian foods. Garnish your food with spices like ginger, garlic, cinnamon and black pepper, all of which are effective for weight loss and add taste to the food. These also get rid of gases and heartburn. A combination of lime juice and honey works great for weight loss too. Squeeze half a lemon, add a teaspoon of honey and mix these with a glass of lukewarm water. Drinking this in the morning and at regular intervals will suppress hunger pangs without sapping your energy. Foods rich in carbohydrates also make you gain weight, so avoiding rice and potato will help you shed weight easily. For the same reason, eating cabbage also beneficial for losing weight as the tartaric acid doesn’t let sugar and carbohydrates convert into fat. If you eat two ripe tomatoes every morning on an empty stomach for about two months, it will not only make you shed weight but also provide you with essential food elements. Start your day with a cup of mint and have green tea a couple of times through the day. This will help you lose weight easily.

Weight loss advice Modern life has made food available in such plentiful quantities that most of us tend to be just a little overweight. The fact that the conveniences that we are surrounded with make physical exertion completely unnecessary, simply add to our problems. You can lose weight in a healthy and organized manner by controlling your diet and ensuring that you get plenty of exercise. However, if you have noticed a sudden gain in weight or if you experience any puffiness or bloated feeling, then you should consult your doctor about this gain. Sudden weight gain is often an indication of other medical conditions and it is better to have this examined.
You should stop eating food that contains white flour, dairy products like cream and cheese and refined sugar. There are plenty of healthy options available and you should eat those instead. Substitute your white bread with healthy whole grain bread. Instead of oily, unhealthy snacks you can opt for raw vegetables and fresh fruits. Eat regular meals but control what you eat. You can eat plenty of salads but avoid dousing them in rich dressings. Eat fruits and drink water, fruit juices without any added sugar and buttermilk. Sipping warm water throughout the day helps keep your false hunger pangs away. You can also add the juice of one lemon and a tablespoon of honey to this. This healthy drink can be a substitute for the cups of coffee and tea that you drink.
