Cold home remedies

The syndrome of “cold coming out of the eye” would probably mean that you have excessively thick mucus deposits in your eyes that are oozing out due to a cold. In order to take care of this problem, the best solution is to look for ways to clear up mucus. There are several kitchen remedies that can provide relief.

Crushed garlic and onion juice relieves congestion and helps fight minor infections as well. You can apply this over the eye area. Do not apply inside the eye, as this will burn very badly.

Make a paste of honey, ginger and holy basil and have this one teaspoon a day to loosen up mucus. The best time to have it would be just before going to bed, so it can work in your system all night. Boil equal quantities of cloves, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom and holy basil with a dash of tea leaves and sip this while hot. You can also chew on a clove to loosen phlegm. You can also steam your face with a few drops of eucalyptus oil in boiling hot water. This will open up your sinuses and allow mucus to flow out from your nose and eyes more comfortably.
