Impetigo natural remedies

Impetigo, commonly known as a bacterial infection of the skin is dangerous simply because it is highly contagious. It can be transmitted from one part of your body to another part, so that once you have developed it in a couple of places, it becomes extremely difficult to control or get rid of. The first thing you must make sure of is to keep your skin dry and clean at all times.

Cleanliness is the most important factor in stopping impetigo from spreading rampantly. Make and store a paste of turmeric powder and clarified butter. Apply this to whatever part of your body the infection is present in and leave it on for as long as possible.

Topically applied, turmeric will penetrate the skin and its antiseptic powers will get to work and remove the infection. If you feel you cannot follow this regimen. Drink a hot glass of milk with a teaspoon of turmeric powder added to it twice a day. This will help fight the infection from within. If you cannot tolerate the taste, add honey to the milk. If you have painful scabs that hurt, apply a paste of sandalwood powder and rose water to them. This will provide cool relief. You can also apply aloe vera gel. If you can get fresh leaves of the plant, squeeze out the gel, apply it and let dry. This will help in getting rid of the infection and provide relief.
