Tinnitus and hearing loss advice

Ringing in the ears and subsequent loss or impairment in hearing is medically known as tinnitus. It may be caused due to some kind of damage in the inner ear. The inner ear is that part of the ear which processes sounds so that we understand them.

Any possible infection or damage to the inner ear, which is also a very sensitive and delicate part, can cause this ringing sound to be heard. One possible cause for the ringing sound could be exposure to very loud noises for a long time, possibly in or around the residence or work place. You may have become so used to it that you do not realize that there is a loud sound always playing somewhere in the background.

However, this can impact your hearing. You must try to keep your ears covered with ear protectors or at least plain cotton balls if there is any such case.

In order to clear up a mild problem, you can also try pouring a few drops of freshly squeezed onion juice in the ear and let it stand for about 10 minutes. Spill an excess of saline solution in the ear to help clear out any sticky deposits. You can also use hydrogen peroxide for the same purpose. A few drops will help raise dirt to the surface and clean out your ear. If the problem persists, use warm coconut oil, one of the oldest known remedies for anything that is wrong with the ears.
