Liver advice and home remedies If your liver has shrunk, chances are that you are a patient of cirrhosis of the liver or you have had radiation therapy that has made this damaging change to your body. There are some home remedies that you can follow in order to repair the damage done by a shrunk liver. If you are already following home remedies, it would be a worthwhile thing to do to get the size of your liver checked before you began.
If you have failed to do this, it is still not too late. You can get this measurement taken now and keep track of it. A check every three months should be ideal in revealing whether the remedies you are following are of any use in returning the liver to its pre-damaged condition.
There is certainly no evidence to prove that the liver will return to its original size, no matter what remedies you are following. There is also no hard scientific or medical evidence that proves that the liver will return to its normal pattern of functioning once it comes back to its original size. However, there is also no evidence to prove that it will not. Once your liver has regained some element of size, it will take you at least six months to observe and determine whether it has returned to normal functioning or not.
